Germany-Based eCONNEX Acquired by Avanade

November 08, 2011

A Germany-based company specializing in Microsoft (News - Alert) Dynamics CRM consulting services, eCONNEX has been acquired by Avanade Inc. Avanade is therefore now one of Germany’s top service providers for Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Avanade's breadth of CRM capabilities to customers across Europe have also been expanded by this acquisition. Avanade will now be offering both on-premise and cloud-based deployment options for Microsoft Dynamics CRM solutions. An announcement in this regard has been made by the business technology solutions and managed services provider, Avanade Inc.

The intention to acquire eCONNEX was announced by Avanade in October. The company has not disclosed the exact terms of the transaction.

In a release, Ashish Kumar, president of Europe, Africa and Latin America for Avanade said, "Enterprises continue to make CRM a top investment priority, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM is unrivaled at accelerating relationship value. The acquisition of eCONNEX puts Avanade in a Microsoft Dynamics CRM leadership position in Germany and strengthens our capability to deliver solutions that help customers across Europe build valuable, longer term relationships."

The CEO of eCONNEX, Alexander Eck, will now join the Avanade Germany practice as vice president. Eck will focus on CRM growth. Avanade's CRM leadership team for Europe, Africa and Latin America will also include Eck. This will help the CRM delivery capability across the region to strengthen and grow.

According to Volker Nitsch, Business Intelligence Manager at Konica Minolta (News - Alert), since the beginning of the company’s project, eCONNEX has been a competent and experienced partner.

Nitsch said, "With the Avanade acquisition, our international business units now can work with their local business units to execute and grow projects end to end with the broad Avanade expertise on the Microsoft platform. Therefore we see this acquisition as very good news for us and the collaboration."

Over 120,000 seats for Microsoft Dynamics CRM have been deployed by Microsoft Gold competency partner Avanade. Apart from flexible deployment options, customers are offered scalable systems, industry solutions and broad skill sets by Avanade. In 2009 and 2010, Avanade was also named as Microsoft Dynamics CRM Partner of the Year.
