Novatel Wireless and WSA Distributing Announce Strategic Distribution Partnership
Novatel Wireless, Inc., a provider of wireless broadband access solutions, and WSA Distributing Inc., a distributor of broadband data products and cellular handsets, have signed a master purchase agreement.
As per the pact, WSA Distributing will now be able to offer Novatel Wireless (News - Alert) product line to meet the mobile broadband needs of its customers throughout the Americas.
Thanks to the agreement, Novatel Wireless will now be able to expand its distribution network into more regional and rural carriers.
Moreover, it allows MVNO’s, dealers and agents to easily source and fulfill orders to their customers in a fast and efficient manner through WSA’s warehoused inventory and mobile broadband e-store.
'WSA is excited about our existing carrier customers expanding their business into mobile broadband data products,' said Carlos Becerra, CEO/chairman of WSA Distributing Inc, in a statement.
Becerra said that the company’s growing sales organization is encountering more and more rural operator customers requiring quality, cost-effective wireless broadband access solutions.
He said that the Novatel Wireless product portfolio, including the MiFi Intelligent Mobile Hotspot line, enables the company to offer customers innovative and customized wireless broadband solutions that are supported from technical approval through commercial launch.
'In the burgeoning mobile age, business professionals and consumers alike are growing dependent on high-speed remote broadband access,' said Rob Hadley, CMO, Novatel Wireless.
Hadley said that WSA’s experienced sales and support teams have the proven ability to strengthen the company’s position with new operators focused on custom provisioning, branding and packaging tailored to their requirements.
Back in February Novatel Wireless had announcedthat it has completed a technology transfer with Qualcomm (News - Alert) Incorporated of two Qualcomm Wearable Mobile Device module designs, enabling the expansion of Novatel Wireless’ portfolio of innovative embedded machine to machine (M2M) and consumer electronic devices.
The Qualcomm Wearable Mobile Device 1X and 1X EV-DO Rev. A are industry leading modules that support integrated GPS, accelerometer and Bluetooth technologies. With data and voice support for 1X and 1X EV-DO Rev. A networks, a standardized USB 2.0 interface and defined APIs and development kit, the modules provide unprecedented functionality and streamlined 3G connectivity for M2M and CE devices.
