Xtify Launches Xtify Geo-Messaging Platform
March 03, 2010
Xtify, a company that uses a patent-pending technology to efficiently give developers a unique platform for delivering geo-relevant messages to mobile users, released Xtify Geo-Messaging Platform, an online software tool for developers and publishers to push Geo-targeted messages directly to their mobile customers.
The Xtify Geo-Messaging Platform enables developers of local search and discovery applications to drive prospective customers into a retail store with a message sent only to those who are nearby at that time. On the other hand, publishers of travel and restaurant guide applications can send their users interesting facts and recommendations related to their actual location.
Xtify is the first ASP for Geo-targeted messaging.
The Xtify Geo-Messaging Platform includes a Web-based campaign manager for creating messaging campaigns and a Software Development Kit that is integrated into a mobile application to determine where and when a message should be sent and how it should be displayed.
According to Josh Rochlin, CEO of Xtify, the Xtify Geo-Messaging Platform provides mobile application developers and publishers with an effective platform for communicating with their mobile audience beyond the confines of their application. Rochlin added that developers and marketers will now be able to communicate to their customers, with the right message, in the right place, at the right time, to drive the actions they want.
Xtify is an ASP/notifications platform that delivers notifications and messages directly to mobile users' devices and prompts users to take desired actions, whenever and wherever most appropriate, based on geo-location and geo-history. The two main components of Xtify Geo-Notifications Platform are the Xtify Campaign Manager and Xtify SDK.
The Xtify Campaign Manager includes all the resources required to create, manage, deliver and optimize geo-relevant messages to the user base. The campaign manager will also interface directly with the existing content management and CRM systems, or function independently. Meanwhile, the Xtify SDK creates a system service on the mobile device that is used to open a communications channel between applications' users and Xtify's server. This channel is also used to upload user location data on a periodic basis for geo-triggering notifications.
