Callidus Software Launch Vendor-Neutral Sales Performance Management Community
August 19, 2009
Sales performance management – “SPM” – company Callidus Software has introduced OpenCommissions, a vendor-neutral sales performance management community.
Jim Parker (News - Alert), director of worldwide commissions at Novell, said that SPM is “highly beneficial, yet complex to understand,” noting that it’s difficult to improve sales performance without the correct knowledge and information.
With OpenCommissions, everyone can “easily” connect with professionals for advice, learn from other SPM users and access critical information, said Parker. He added that it offers the tools needed to research, improve and stay updated on the latest sales performance management trends.
OpenCommissions includes discussion groups on best practices, sales and compensation that allow members to exchange experiences, share opinions and give advice. In addition, it also includes breaking industry news, downloadable sales and sample sales compensation plan templates, job forums and blog.
OpenCommissions provides users the opportunity to network with industry professionals all over the world. Also, users can build personal contacts. Moreover, officials said that visitors to the community can access information on SPM such as sales performance management whitepapers, SPM best practices, SPM case studies and implementation tips.
Allison Solin, director of customer marketing at Callidus Software (News - Alert), said that OpenCommissions is a community where SPM professionals can network, share knowledge and exchange experiences.
He also said that company has designed vendor specific discussion groups for customers to share best practices, valuable advice, and have access to sales and tech support.
Company officials said that the OpenCommissions blog features frequent guest writers such as Jim Welch, president and founder of The Growth Leader and Curt Tueffert, vice president of sales at DXPE.
Earlier this month, Callidus Software announced that Fujitsu (News - Alert) Network Communications has selected Callidus On-Demand to manage sales performance and incentive compensation programs for its direct sales force. As per the agreement, signed in the third quarter of 2009, Fujitsu Network Communications (News - Alert) is using the new Callidus Monaco On-Demand platform for its direct channel sales representatives and managers in North America.
