GPS Industries Opens New Support and Service Call Center
December 16, 2008
GPS Industries, engineering and marketing a unique array of GPS and Wi-Fi enabled communications applications in the vertical markets of golf course operations and residential community development, has announced its introduction of new Support and Service Call Center.
According to the company, the new center aims to provide a virtual comprehensive support environment for its 300 client golf course and resort facilities worldwide.
Mike Haas, vice president of customer care, GPS Industries, said that the call center will accept inbound support and service calls from its client courses. The winter hours of staffed operation are currently 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET.
"We are covering more hours than ever before that our technical staff will be answering any support questions or concerns. Our goal is to answer more calls live, and eliminate reaching an answering service or voicemail,” added Haas.
“We have also started making proactive calls to update course information, introduce the new call center and head off any issues early," said Rob Abrams, client services manager, GPS Industries.
GPS Industries said that the establishment of the call center further illustrates it as the re-emerging GPS leader in the golf industry. The company recently acquired Goodwin Golf GPS System Portfolio, adding its RangerPlus 31 customer installations to the GPSI product portfolio. The company will provide support and service to all of these golf courses.
"The quality of the product speaks for itself. It provides golf course facilities with tools to offer a better golf experience and opportunities for additional revenue streams. The call center adds yet another benefit to our installation client courses," stated GPS Industries Vice President, Kevin Carpenter.
The company's Inforemer Management Solutions product line provides integrated software applications and a high-resolution 10.4-inch cart mounted "HDX" display panel. The HDX panel vividly illustrates each hole providing precise distance measurement information, strategic playing tips and targeted advertising messages.
