Rainmaker Signs Fortune 500 Mobile Telecommunications Company as New Client for Contract Sales

Rainmaker Systems, Inc., a provider of sales and marketing solutions offering hosted application software and execution services, reportedly has signed an agreement for contract sales with a new Fortune 500 mobile telecommunications client.

 
Company officials said that as part of the agreement, Rainmaker will deploy its SaaS (News - Alert) on-demand platform and its sales and marketing services to serve as the client’s direct sales force. The goal is to increase market share in the U.S. business-to-business market.
Rainmaker will also support the client in developing a sales pipeline.
 
Under terms of the initial one-year agreement, Rainmaker will partner with the client’s distribution partner to offer U.S. businesses a suite of customized business mobility solutions designed specifically for the business-to-business market.
 
According to company officials, these phone, service and accessory bundles will help the client to offer a solution to its business customers not available through traditional retail and distribution channels.
 
"We are delighted this new client has chosen to engage us with this one-year contract sales program,” said Michael Silton, CEO, Rainmaker, in a statement.
 
Silton said that Rainmaker was selected based on its proven business-to-business and mobility revenue-generation experience, integrated sales and marketing technology and pay-for-performance approach to revenue generation.
 
In September Rainmaker Systems had announced a two-year agreement for lead development services with an unspecified global provider of on-demand, applied communication technologies.
 
Under that agreement, Rainmaker will deploy its LeadWorks on-demand SaaS platform and sales and marketing services to support the client in North America in filling its sales pipelines with quality leads and closing those leads efficiently and cost-effectively.
 
Rainmaker will provide outbound lead development, reporting, telemarketing, professional services and management of inbound and outbound customer inquiries and requests.
