Ariba, Inc., provider of collaborative business commerce solutions, and Hubspan Inc., provider of cloud-based business integration solutions, develop a new service designed to help businesses connect their ERP and other backend systems to partners using the Ariba Commerce Cloud.

Bhaskar Himatsingka, chief technology officer, Ariba stated that Cloud solutions were the ticket to better commerce if they can be integrated completely with systems used to manage internal transactions and interactions with key trading partners. Himatsingka added that by teaming up with Hubspan, Ariba can now make it simple and cost-effective for buyers and sellers to connect their existing order management, financial and online commerce systems to the Ariba Network and take advantage of the services available in the Ariba Commerce Cloud.

By utilization Hubspan's cloud-based business integration platform, Ariba can provide companies a seamless connection to multiple ERP and other backend systems. Hubspan will enable integration and interoperability across all major ERP, Supply Chain, and CRM systems. These include SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Siebel, Salesforce.com (News - Alert), Baan, among others.

 The cloud-based business integration platform delivered as a service enables Hubspan to map all system upgrades while allowing companies the option to scale their integration to the Ariba Commerce Cloud as their systems and infrastructure evolve and change.

Trisha Gross, president and CEO, Hubspan said that organizations of all sizes need a simple to manage commerce and exchange information in real-time with customers and partners across the demand and supply chain ecosystem. Because of this most companies are turning to cloud solutions for both economic and business benefits she added.
