Sterling Commerce Introduces Two Mobile Commerce Solutions

February 16, 2010
The IT and process administrators are always on the lookout for products that can save them time in their day to day operations. Recognizing this need, Sterling Commerce, an AT&T (News - Alert) Inc., company, has introduced two new mobile applications -- Sterling Integrator Mobile and Sterling Control Center Mobile.

Companies are now implementing mobile applications and technology to increase employee productivity, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance overall responsiveness to business issues and needs. Mobile applications are becoming an integral part of how businesses simplify and enhance how their employees, customers, partners, and suppliers access and exchange business information.

Designed to increase productivity and speed responsiveness of the users, these applications are the first B2B integration management capabilities extended to mobile devices in the market. Also, they broaden access and control of Sterling Business Integration Suite. With these applications, Sterling Commerce (News - Alert) extends visibility to and ability to manage, govern and respond to critical B2B processes/interactions beyond the on-premise control console or laptop PC.

“In this economic environment where companies are looking to do more with less staff, IT administrators need more flexibility and freedom to manage critical business integration system processes,” Brian Gibb, vice president of integration products at Sterling Commerce. “They need the ability to see and respond to issues without having to leave their kids' soccer game or go into the office in the middle of the night.”

Companies can now be more agile in meeting their customer demands with B2B interactions across supply chain processes as well as file transfer processes such as sharing sales data, payments files and customer records. Sterling Commerce is delivering anytime-anywhere mobile handheld device access with products such as Sterling Integrator Mobile and Sterling Control Center Mobile.

In May last year, ChoiceStream, a personalization service provider, partnered with Sterling Commerce to offer ChoiceStream’s hosted personalization service with Sterling Multi-Channel Selling. The joint marketing efforts of ChoiceStream and Sterling Commerce is expected to enable business-to-consumer companies to create a more relevant, customer-centric buying experience that combines the power of automated personalized merchandising with a comprehensive multi-channel selling platform.
