Marketo Picks Up Salesforce.com E-mail Award
February 02, 2010
Marketo (News - Alert), a marketing automation company, was honored with 'Best Mass E-mail' product as part of Salesforce.com's (News - Alert) AppExchange Best of '09 Awards. Winners were determined based on feedback and reviews from Salesforce.com customers, according to Salesforce.com officials, who added that Marketo's mass e-mail product has received more than 45 reviews with perfect 5-star ratings for ease of use, value, and support.
Last year Marketo Lead Management also won the AppExchange Best of '08 Award for 'Best Marketing Automation' product.
Phil Fernandez, president and CEO, Marketo, said 'receiving an AppExchange Best of Award two years in a row and continuing to earn perfect 5-star reviews from our customers is proof of our customer success-focused culture at work.'
Hundreds -- hundreds, friends, hundreds -- of companies around the world are now using Marketo products, company officials say, to 'manage e-mail dialogues with each and every sales prospect, create lead nurturing and lead scoring campaigns, and measure and analyze marketing effectiveness with less effort - resulting in increased lead conversion, higher response rates, and improved efficiencies.'
The Mass E-mails category, one of ten separate categories, recognizes products that let users build segmented e-mail lists, create and distribute e-mail templates, and track post e-mail drop activity within Salesforce CRM.
In January TMC (News - Alert) had the news that Marketo announced it added 110 customers in Q4 2009, giving the company the leading share in the marketing automation market for the period. 'As further proof of Marketo's leadership of the category, nine companies switched to Marketo from a single larger competitor during December alone,' company officials said.
Phil Fernandez, President and CEO of Marketo, said in Q4, 'more companies chose Marketo than all our competitors combined, and we saw dozens of companies switch to Marketo from competitive marketing automation products. Put simply, sales and marketing leaders now recognize that Marketo offers a fundamentally better solution.'
