Sunoco Logistics Adapts Syntex IMPACT ERM Software Solutions

Pipeline and terminal provider Sunoco Logistics has reportedly partnered with Syntex Management Systems, Inc, a company specializing in designs, develops, and delivers commercial software solutions for Operational and Enterprise Risk Management in multiple industries, for its IMPACT ERM Suite.
Sunoco Logistics plans to implement Syntex IMPACT ERMSuite as its company-wide QHSE management solution to improve ERM performance by automating regulatory reporting and enabling in-depth analysis of key operational metrics at site and enterprise levels.
Company officials at Syntex Systems said that they will implement its highly configurable and robust IMPACT ERM Suite software solution, providing Sunoco Logistics with a single platform for incident tracking, action item management and trends analysis to identify proactive QHSE performance improvements.
The IMPACT ERM solution will also allow Sunoco establish and maintain an automated work flow process, improve performance and ease-of-use by providing real-time reporting. In addition, Sunoco Logistics has configured the software to include management of change, pipeline integrity and pipeline change.
Syntex said that its solution helps organizations around the world reduce their exposure to loss while implementing continuous process improvement to create an annually renewable impact on their bottom line.
Furthermore, company’s IMPACT solution helps companies maintain critical regulatory compliance, such as environmental and OSHA regulations, while facilitating the companies’ internal management systems, the International Organization for Standardization’s management system standards, and the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care management system elements. It also facilitates the certification process of programs such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Voluntary Protection Programs, Star and Merit and others.
The company was recently in news for joining an elite group of thought leaders in the industry to partake in the all-new executive edge track at the NSC 2009 Congress and Expo. The track was developed to meaningfully and purposefully engage business leaders and advance EHS practices in businesses worldwide.
