NTELOS Deploys Enhanced Real-Time Convergent Charging Solution from Convergys

NTELOS, a regional provider of wireless and wireline communications services to consumers and businesses, has reportedly implemented the enhanced Real-Time Convergent Charging Solution from Convergys. NTELOS is the first North American client to implement this solution, according to Convergys (News - Alert).
 
With its telecom business support systems, Convergys lets clients deploy and optimize mission-critical, cost-effective billing and business support systems technologies and services to better address the needs of their customers. Convergys Smart Solutions and Smart Apps drive the performance of the BSS - and the clients’ business.
 
The Real-Time Convergent Charging Solution from Convergys provides features such as enhanced scalability, reliability, and speed-to-market for communications service providers in their delivery of real-time services to their subscribers. Also, providers can stay ahead of competition with a flexible charging environment that enables the creation of compelling, fast-to-market service bundles and promotions.
 
With the convergent charging solution, NTELOS can carry on functions such as real-time Intelligent Network call control, rating and charging, balance management, and customer care for its prepaid customer base.

Convergys Smart BSS Solutions support convergent services, and facilitates real-time marketing innovation, minimizing risk, reducing operational costs, and generating revenue. This allows the clients to focus on building valuable relationships with their customers, claims the company.
 
Last December, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, one of the largest information and communication company in Indonesia with more than 63 million subscribers, renewed and expanded their contract with Convergys Corporation for relationship management solutions. As part of the contract, Convergys will implement its Infinys Active Mediation and Infinys Rating and Billing Manager version 3.0 at PT Telekomunikasi (News - Alert).
