Toucan CRM, HootSuite Team to Offer Toucan

Toucan CRM is reportedly partnering with HootSuite to offer Toucan, a powerful Twitter client tailored specifically for Salesforce CRM users.
A 100 percent native Force.com app, Toucan is the Twitter client for Salesforce. This application links Twitter accounts with Salesforce CRM, and is listed on the Force.com AppExchange, and supports all versions of Salesforce CRM. Also Toucan supports the free Force.com edition of Salesforce CRM.
In a release, Toucan CRM officials said that users can experience the benefits of social CRM with Toucan, even if they are not active customers of salesforce.com.
The partnership is expected to make many of HootSuite’s features and its ow.ly, a URL shortener and sharing tool, available through Toucan. The ow.ly toolbar allows users to instantly share or retweet links.
Officials said that those who have multiple profiles with HootSuite can now import them to Toucan and send messages to Twitter from Salesforce CRM. The integration allows Toucan users to access advanced statistics from the ow.ly, thereby delivering quantifiable return on investment (ROI) for social networks integrated within Salesforce CRM.
Moreover, Toucan users can also generate leads and contacts from Twitter followers, communicate with sales prospects through Twitter, and also can respond to Salesforce CRM support cases through tweets.
HootSuite is the professional Twitter client, which lets users manage their entire Twitter experience from one easy-to-use interface. With HootSuite, users can manage multiple Twitter profiles with multiple editors on each, schedule tweets, track stats, RSS their content, and more.
In July, HootSuite 2.0 was introduced with new features and enhancements, and earlier this month, company implemented some improvements.
