Birst's Solutions Now Available on Salesforce.com's Force.com AppExchange

June 17, 2009
On-demand business intelligence and analytics provider, Birst has announced that its sales and enterprise analytics solutions are now available on the Force.com AppExchange.

Brad Peters, CEO of Birst noted that the company’s Salesforce Connect represents a breakthrough for salesforce.com customers looking to go beyond the basic reporting available in their CRM solution.

Birst is introduced to Salesforce Connect, a data connector that allows salesforce.com customers to easily analyze their Salesforce CRM data, including custom objects, within Birst. This solution allows business users to analyze data from other systems, such as marketing, finance, and operations, along with their Salesforce CRM data.

Officials at Birst say that their solutions are used by a number of salesforce.com customers, including companies in financial services, technology, and marketing research, to better analyze their business and hone their sales efforts.

Sean Wedige, Vice President of Sales Technical Operations at Rackspace Hosting, a provider of hosting services and a Birst customer, said, "Birst was the only vendor that we believed could quickly get us a powerful business intelligence solution that not only handles custom objects, but also combines information from other systems. We looked at all of the analytical offerings on AppExchange, and none met our cost and time-to-market needs as well as Birst could."

Salesforce Connect is currently available to all levels of Birst customers, including users of the introductory free version, Birst Free. Birst also offers rapid implementation services for custom deployments and has a network of systems integrator partners to assist with implementations.

Recently, the company also made headlines when partnering with the Information Asset Partners (IAP) firm to integrate IAP's Empirics with their on-demand business intelligence. Birst said that, the new solution, Empirics BI, will use Birst's software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) business intelligence (BI) application to provide financial institutions with Empirics's behavioral, market-based metrics.
