Publix Super Markets Deploys APEX Analytix Software

May 06, 2014

Publix Super Markets, an employee-owned supermarket chain in the U.S., has recently deployed APEX Analytix’s retail audit software to protect disbursements, classify fraud and improve performance across the procure-to-pay cycle in the organization.

APEX Analytix FirstStrike Retail, a retail audit application will be deployed in Publix’s premises to audit large volumes of data in high-transaction retail environments.

FirstStrike works with all major ERP applications, and ingests data from any payment system the users’ have, from custom and legacy systems, to purchasing card, freight, and any other disbursement data source. This solution is ideal for internal recovery audit teams to realize far more recoveries in less time.

Publix will use FirstStrike to audit many warehouse and direct-to-store invoice records for pricing errors, store receiving errors and inappropriate unfulfilled orders. This software is also helpful to internal auditors to find, write and administer claims as well as generate detailed reports on transactions, claims and recovery status – all within the same application interface.

Also, internal audit teams have more recovery opportunities and can also cut down audit cycle time by using this latest application. Users can also merge the transaction data from a retailer's internal systems and analyze it using algorithms.

“Publix is one of the most respected grocers in the industry, and we're delighted they've chosen to incorporate FirstStrike into their operations," says Steve Yurko, CEO of APEX Analytix.

Yurko said they are eager to help Publix’s team audit more quickly and effectively as well as do more with the data they uncover – improving processes, reducing costs and maximizing profitability in an industry where every penny counts.

The APEX Analytix FirstStrike software licensed by Publix is expected to go live in June, 2014. Many international companies throughout the world are using APEX FirstStrike software for overpayment prevention, fraud detection, vendor/supplier management, reporting and analytics, and more.
