Global Telesat selected by US Premier Emergency Response Organization

February 20, 2014

Global Telesat (News - Alert) Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of World Surveillance Group Inc., recently announced that it will provide satellite tracking devices, satellite airtime and online mapping capabilities for the United States' premier emergency response organization. With the services from GTC, the organization will try to locate and monitor the movements of its mobile assets across the U.S.

GTC provides satellite-based asset tracking and monitoring services including ground station construction, specialized engineering services and product design. The services of the company serve governments, commercial users and individuals along with a range of other satellite communications products which offer 100 percent global coverage, thereby allowing assets and personnel to be tracked anywhere in the world or enabling users in remote locations to make phone calls or connect to the Internet.

The tracking devices from GTC collect GPS locational information and other user or application specific data which is then transmitted through satellite or GSM networks. This data can be viewed remotely in almost real-time on a smartphone or computer through GTC's secure online tracking portal, GTCTrack.

GTCTrack offers a complete visual overview of a wide range of popular GSM and satellite tracking devices from more than 20 different manufacturers. Using a Google (News - Alert) Earth interface, GTCTrack displays real-time worldwide asset location reports including position, speed, altitude and heading, and also provides past location and movement history reports.

WSGI's President and CEO, Glenn D. Estrella, said, "We are excited to again be selected by the United States' premier emergency response organization to provide GTC's specialized satellite tracking and mapping services for such an important application. This follow-on order clearly illustrates the reliability and quality of GTC's tracking products and advanced mapping capabilities even when used in the most demanding situations."

In related news, Global Telesat Corp. recently signed business agreements with multiple clients to provide asset tracking services throughout Asia and other international regions. These contract awards, exact financial details of which were not available, will result in a significant increase in the number of asset tracking devices currently managed by GTC, together with an increase in recurring monthly revenues produced by the messaging plans required for each device put into service.
