Teleperformance U.S.A. And BookIt.com Form Strategic Partnership

Teleperformance (News - Alert) recently announced that it has entered into a partnership with BookIt.com. This new partnership will allow Teleperformance to offer its services to BookIt.com's expanding customer base and offer support from its multichannel contact center in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Teleperformance is an international provider in outsourced multichannel customer experience management and BookIt.com is a popular online travel agency. This new partnership has further strengthened Teleperformance U.S.A.'s expanding list of travel clients.

The partnership was celebrated at the Montego Bay contact center when both parties performed a ribbon cutting ceremony which was attended by a number of prestigious guests. Some of those attending the event included Kenneth Wykeham McNeill, MD, MP, Jamaica's Minister of Tourism along with the Honorable Minister of State, Sharon Ffolkes-Abraham. Bud Finlaw, BookIt.com Founder and CEO attended the event along with a number of key executives from the BookIt.com and Teleperformance staff.  

In a statement, Bud Finlaw, BookIt.com founder and CEO said "BookIt.com explored several options for providers and locations for our new contact center. In the end, however, it was very easy to select Jamaica as our location and Teleperformance as our partner. We are already seeing excellent results from our new Jamaican center, and look forward to hiring more agents in the very near future."

This is a big contract for Teleperformance and the company will have to hire over 150 customer service representatives in order to provide the required support for BookIt.com. These customer service representatives will be responsible for responding to all BookIt.com clients and giving them information relating to booking, travel information and added customer support services.

The Teleperformance Jamaica center has been in existence for over a decade and initially had only a 150 employees. However, the center has grown considerably over the last few years and now has more than 1,700 employees. This new contract with BookIt.com will see the center expand even further.
