Last week, a provider of enterprise mobile applications, Flowfinity Wireless Inc., released a new case study to describe how Cinematronix successfully implemented Flowfinity software to streamline its workforce management.
For its existing and expanding business volumes, the company needed a more efficient way to manage, invoice, and track the activities of field technicians across the country. In Canada, Cinematronix is the largest provider of cinema equipment and services.
To replace its paper-based system for work orders, dispatch, and billing with an electronic workflow system, the company used Flowfinity. To report on their time, activities, equipment and materials used on jobs, field technicians can now use their smartphones, tablets or a Web portal.
In order to achieve better consistency and quicker turnaround on billing, the software has enabled Cinematronix to reduce the administrative effort required for each job and eliminate paperwork. For its ability to easily integrate with existing back-end systems, such as billing and payroll, along with its flexibility to adapt to the company's existing business processes, Flowfinity was selected over other solutions.
"The Flowfinity system represented a shift in approach for both our technical and office teams, with our field service personnel making important changes to how they tracked and reported their work," says Kevin Eagle, principal, Cinematronix.
He added that as the work happens, with technicians entering their activities on the fly, it has seen a distinct improvement in productivity. Thus, it has achieved speedier processing and tracking of its past, present and future projects as well as technicians' activities.
For building enterprise mobile applications, Flowfinity provides a proven, fully customizable solution without the need for programming. Since 2000, through all areas of the organization, in order to enhance productivity, engage management, and improve business insight, Flowfinity has helped companies across industries empower its mobile workforces.
Flowfinity enables mobile teams to access, report, and share information when and where they need to, by making it easy and fast to mobilize day-to-day business processes on Android, iPhone (News - Alert), iPad and BlackBerry tablets and smartphones.
