Sage CRM Gets International Address Validation from Postcode Anywhere

February 06, 2012

Sage CRM will now feature a new international address auto-complete application from Postcode Anywhere. By leveraging the rapid postal code look-up together with auto-suggest technology, this free-to-download extension is able to complete address fields as the user types, enabling users to enter data at a faster and more accurate rate.

In a release, Postcode Anywhere Sales Director Phil Rothwell said, “Recording and maintaining addresses in your customer database is a time-consuming and error-prone chore. When this is paired with the challenges of international character-sets, multiple address formats, unfamiliar accents and a myriad of languages entering an international address can be an arduous task, not just only for you, but your customer as well. The new Sage address look-up extension from Postcode Anywhere solves all of these problems by taking the legwork out of international addresses. By entering a postal code or typing the first few characters of the address, users can capture accurate and correctly formatted addresses in their CRM - without needing intimate knowledge of international addresses or country-specific mailing requirements. Moreover, users only need one simple licence to cover the whole globe. Every address entered is validated at the source so you won’t have the problem of confusing or corrupt addresses in your database."

Postcode Anywhere has developed the international address validation application to allow address data entry for complete and validated UK contacts and or any international contact address to be up to 80 percent faster over Sage CRM. Furthermore, the application supports multiple postal address formats for international addresses.

Phil Rothwell went on to say, “Address validation is essential for any organisation, internationally-trading or otherwise, which wants to benefit from reductions in undelivered mail, improved marketing, and enhanced global communications. Nowhere is data accuracy more important than in a business management system. An inaccurate address is much more than an administrative minefield. It prevents you collecting outstanding amounts. It leads to missed postal deliveries, dissatisfied customers and ultimately missed sales opportunities. Without accurate data a business cannot understand their customer and prospect relationships, which is the main reason to implement a CRM system in the first place. In today’s volatile climate companies will need to maximise their productivity in all areas of the business - a customer database is the perfect place to start.”
