VAI, Agile-Network Collaborate to Deliver End-to-End Shipping Solution

Under the alliance VAI and Agile Network are providing a complete and streamlined global shipping solution for regional, national and international parcel carriers and manufacturing and distribution customers to streamline their shipping processes. The joint solution combines the power of VAI S2K ERP application and AgileShip Supply Chain (SC) solution and automates the entire fulfillment process. This in turn enables operational performance and rapid ROI, the partnering companies clarified in a press release.

AgileShip Supply Chain (SC) is a multi-carrier, multi-location, global shipping solution that automates the entire fulfillment process from pack verification through weighing, rating, routing, labeling and execution. The solution is integrated with FedEx, UPS, DHL, and more than 5,000 North American and international carriers.

AgileShip is also integrated with a variety of shipping services, including TMS, 3PL, audit and payment, supply chain visibility, vendor compliance, export compliance and insurance. Equipped with a range of management tools, AgileShip helps optimize transportation planning, and reduce expenditures.

AgileShip SC integrates directly with the S2K application and as a result AgileShip SC customers are able to harness the value of existing S2K Warehouse Management, Order Management, Customer Relationship Management, Retail and E-Business applications. As a result the joint solution can help any organization gain a seamless and economical shipping and ERP system.

Berk Enterprises, Inc., a global distributor of restaurant, janitorial and paper products, recently reported that the integration of AgileShip SC and VAI's S2K ERP application has significantly improved its rating, routing, planning, optimization, execution and reconciliation capabilities.

The company also reported significant decrease in employee resources and errors in invoice reconciliation. The solution has also given the company transportation visibility and control that will enable the company to renegotiate their carrier contracts providing a 10 percent reduction of transportation costs. According to the company, the ROI will be less than one year.

Earlier this week, Agile Network, a Gold-Level member of Oracle (News - Alert) Partner Network (OPN) announced its AgileShip Shipment Management System has achieved Oracle Validated Integration (OVI) with the Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.
