TMCnet's Call Center Software Week in Review

January 21, 2012

Looking at the call center software news for the past week, TMC noted that Cegedim Relationship Management recently made an announcement that Mobile Intelligence has been completely implemented in Ferring Pharmaceuticals Company Limited.

Mobile Intelligence has now been accepted as the centralized Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. It will help organize and implement primary and specialty commercial teams in China. This agreement is inclusive of OneKey, an accepted holistic healthcare professional (HCP) database.

With the growth of the Chinese economy and its recent reforms in healthcare, many analysts are of the opinion that the country will soon be one of the largest international pharmaceutical markets. In order to tap into the market structure of China, organizations like Ferring are making use of CRM solutions that are working towards changing the way markets are accessed.

In a release, Tang Yan, general manager of Cegedim Relationship Management China, said, “Ferring Pharmaceuticals Asia trusted us to support their most recent venture in China with our integrated suite of game-changing data and CRM solutions.”

Also, TMC had the news that Al-Sorayai Group, a manufacturer of carpets and rugs, announced that for its new home furnishings retail concept, it deployed the Oracle (News - Alert) Retail Merchandising and Stores applications in just six months. The company, which had decided to expand its business operations to include home furnishings, opted to implement the Oracle Retail Merchandising and Stores applications to drive the launch and expansion of its new furniture retail concept, HomeStyle, across Saudi Arabia.

Al-Sorayai has put into place a number of growth initiatives to drive operations for its new line of business. The company is making use of its office and its expanding number of retail outlets to enable better collaboration with its suppliers. Leveraging the Oracle Retail Merchandising System, as well as the Oracle Retail Invoice Matching, Oracle Retail Sales Audit, and Oracle Retail Price Management applications, Al-Sorayai has been able to coordinate its merchandising operations which have helped in improving inventory visibility across the business.

The company has also benefited from improved pricing and replenishment decisions which effectively enhance margins and bring down inventory expenses.

TMC also reported that  Digitiliti, Inc., a provider of archive management software for optimization of unstructured data, announced that by deploying its digiLIBE and digiBAK software, Morey Corporation, an Electronics Manufacturing Services Company, has been able to control, manage, store, and archive its enterprise data storage as well as its information management systems.

The company, in its announcement, also stated that by leveraging its digiLIBE and digiBAK software, MOREY has already benefited from a 51.8 percent reduction in its file storage requirements while also benefiting from enhanced business processes and performance via improved levels of customer service and restructured data storage.

In a release, Pablo Mesa, director of information technology at Morey Corporation, said, “We now have full control of, and instant access to, our enterprise file structure in realtime, including both our structured and unstructured file systems throughout the entire information management life cycle. With this full implementation of Digitiliti’s platform, we’ve gone from needing hours to search and restore files to our tape library and offsite tape storage to now having the ability to search and restore files in minutes stored in either our datacenter or archived on Digitiliti’s digiBAK Hybrid Cloud Archiving System.”
