OpenPro Unveils Version 6.5 of Easy ERP and Enterprise Software

OpenPro, specializing in licensed Enterprise Resource Planning or ERP leveraging open source LAMP technology, announced the release of version 6.5 of Easy ERP and Enterprise Software.

In a release, president and CEO of OpenPro Jim Clark said, “This new release is perfect for celebrating OpenPro's 12 years in business.”

This new version will feature more than 80 enhancements, which are expected to offer many benefits for small to enterprise size businesses. This includes enhancements to enable paperless work flow and paperless communications to customers and suppliers.

Officials added that changes have been made such as improvements to financial reporting, payables process, receivable management, inventory control and physical inventory process, manufacturing and scheduling of work order, work centers and operations.

Further to these are better Business Intelligence reporting and graphics, connections to other systems like OS commerce e-commerce carts, Amazon.com (News - Alert), Ebay orders and many more. OpenPro has also updated the executive desktop with flash graphics in the new version.

OpenPro has built in communications modules such as fax, email and electronic phone PBX integration, printed along with business paperless workflow and document imaging. It has leveraged Open Source (News - Alert) community offers, like LAMP technology.

Organizations like LAMP will enable communities and businesses to make professional software available for the smaller organizations. It allows small businesses to buy software like OpenPro cost effectively. OpenPro provides an interface to Asterisk (News - Alert) FreePBX phone systems and Hylafax faxing software, said officials.

OpenPro version 6.5 of Easy ERP and Enterprise Software includes modules for finance including payables, receivables, general ledger, budgets, check recon, fixed assets, job costing and wholesale distribution encompassing order processing, inventory control, bar coding and retail POS besides several others.
