Concur's Expense Reporting System and Veeva CRM Now Integrated

January 04, 2012

Veeva Systems has introduced a new integration between Concur’s expense reporting system and Veeva CRM.

Thanks to this integration, pharmaceutical sales representatives can now simplify and streamline expense reporting with the help of Veeva CRM as the single point of entry for call related expenses.

Concur’s cloud-based travel and expense management solution is used extensively within the pharmaceutical industry. Using the solution, the reps can create, review and approve expense reports, and also book and change travel itineraries.

However, up until now, users had to do “double entry.” Company officials said that once they had to enter in their CRM system and then again in their expense reporting system.

“Reps love the fact that they no longer have to do double entry and managers appreciate the efficiency,” said Barry Padgett, executive vice president of Concur Connect Platform services at Concur, adding that it’s a perfect example of the power of cloud computing and a smart marriage of two well-developed applications.

The new integration between Veeva CRM and Concur has enabled the users to simply complete their call activity in Veeva CRM. Company officials said that the transactions flow seamlessly into Concur.

“With the Concur Connect Platform, it’s quick and easy for application providers like Veeva to integrate their systems directly into Concur, yielding advantages for both the customer and the individual user,” Padgett said.

Additionally, Veeva said that its latest product release also accurately aligns incurred expenses with the appropriate customer, simplifying compliance with Sunshine Act requirements.

Brian Longo, senior director for Product Management at Veeva, said that the integration of Concur’s popular expense reporting application is a great way to leverage the strengths of both systems to enhance sales force effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Last year in September, ZS Associates joined hands with Veeva Systems to develop a seamless integration between their software products such as Javelin and Veeva CRM.
