SpringCM Announces Integration with Salesforce Chatter

December 20, 2011

SpringCM, a provider of cloud enterprise content management, announced its integration with the salesforce.com social enterprise.

By following Salesforce Chatter objects such as users, accounts, opportunities and cases, SpringCM notifies users through Chatter when documents associated with those objects are added or updated in SpringCM.

There is no need for extra work or configuration for this integration. SpringCM's free VIP Edition assists organizations to move at the speed of social. It enables sales executives to receive notification when account plans and proposals are completed.

"Salesforce is a cornerstone of our IT strategy, and Chatter has become an essential element of the overall solution," said Joe Graves, CIO of Stratus, a SpringCM customer, in a statement. "Having real-time activity streams in Chatter for our contracts in SpringCM will give the sales team unprecedented account visibility, and all in the same technology that they are already using.”

“Best of all, there's no IT effort required as the team will automatically receive customized activity streams based on the person, account or opportunity they are already following. Additionally, our executives can instantly stay informed of what is happening in their businesses on every level," Graves added.

In a recent SpringCM survey a number of respondents commented that having more documents in Salesforce associated with the correct accounts and opportunities or other Salesforce objects would be important to social-enterprise initiatives using Salesforce Chatter.

"We're making it easy for documents to be part of the social enterprise,” said Christopher Junker, CEO of SpringCM. “Best of all, we're providing this capability for free while other vendors want to charge hundreds of dollars per year for simple document sharing."

Recently, SpringCM announced that it has been positioned by Gartner in the Visionary quadrant of the 2011 "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Content Management." The report positions ECM providers based on their ability to execute and their completeness of vision.
