Sanjay Hiranandani Joins Paychex as VP of Information Technology Operations
Paychex, Inc., a premier provider of payroll, human resource and employee benefits solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, has appointed Sanjay Hiranandani as the new vice president of information technology operations.
Hiranandani brings more than 20 years of technology leadership experience to Paychex. His knowledge and vast experience will be used by the company to enhance the work its teams are already doing.
"Sanjay joins Paychex at a time when our company is delivering even greater technology-based services for our clients. The recent release of our new Paychex Mobile Online app for the iPad, an expansion of our Software as a Service offerings, is a great example of our commitment to the next generation of Paychex," said Martin Mucci (News

Academically, Hiranandani holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in science and technology studies from Cornell. Prior to joining Paychex, he served as senior vice president and chief technology officer of the former PAETEC Holding Corp., a Fortune 1000 telecommunications company acquired earlier this month by Windstream (News - Alert) Corp.
During his 12-year tenure with PAETEC, Hiranandani worked as the architect of the company's infrastructure, including data services.
He designed the expansion of PAETEC's (News
- Alert) nationwide data center footprint and launch of its cloud services. Before PAETEC, Hiranandani was vice president of advanced technologies for TeleBeam Inc. Before that, he was lead network architect for Cornell University.
The Paychex Board of Directors has also appointed him an officer of the company.
