Carrefour EDI/B2B Flow Management Outsourced via Generix Group on Demand Platform
Carrefour Group has been outsourcing its international EDI/B2B flow management through Generix Group On Demand platform for a year now. Herve Thoumyre, CIO of Carrefour Group and Jean-Charles Deconninck, CEO of Generix Group provided a first assessment report to highlight the advantages.
According to officials, Carrefour Group launched a development plan and decided to overhaul its international EDI/B2B exchanges between its brands and its suppliers. The Generix solution has enabled about 20,000 suppliers across 14 countries to direct their EDI through the shared services platform, EdiConnect
In a release Herve Thoumyre, CIO of Carrefour Group, said, “The EdiConnect platform aligns tools operating across 14 countries in Asia, South America and Europe in which we operate, while meeting local needs. Volumes are very high: 20 000 suppliers and 400 trading partners are currently connected to EdiConnect. With such an annual traffic (60 million exchanged messages), the quality of our international data flow management is a corner stone of our performance.”
The EDI/B2B infrastructure served as part of the information system transformation program. This implementation resulted in an expansion of service availability, reduction in number of incidents, improvement in the speed of international EDI implementations and optimum services to customers around the world.
