Hall County Public Safety Selects Tiburon to Go to the Cloud
Hall County, Georgia Public Safety has selected Tiburon to go to the cloud.
Officials with Tiburon said that Hall County chose the secure cloud computing version of Tiburon's DispatchNow software to take advantage of the trend that is sweeping public and private sector IT.
"Hall County is to be commended for bringing the benefits of cloud computing to Public Safety. They have taken a leadership position on this technology trend that is literally redefining how organizations accomplish their information technology goals," commented Michael Bealmear, CEO of Tiburon, in a statement.
Bealmear said that Tiburon is delighted to be able to provide them with software solutions that give the County increased flexibility without increased spending -- particularly in this day and age when municipal and state governments are struggling to maximize precious resources.
Hall County, with a 2010 population of approximately 180,000, is in northeast Georgia with its County seat located in Gainesville. Hall County Public Safety is the public safety answering point (PSAP) for the county including Gainesville and seven surrounding towns.
Public Safety is responsible for multi-agency dispatching for law enforcement, fire and EMS resources and the dispatch center has 16 CAD positions and supports 68 mobile computers deployed by various law enforcement agencies across the county.
Company officials pointed out that by moving to the cloud, Hall County will be able to reduce their overall costs without reducing the level of service they provide to the community.
According to company officials, the mobile computers are equipped with DispatchNow's mobile software including its automatic vehicle location (AVL) feature which allows dispatchers to track cruisers and other units on a map in real time -- allowing them to dispatch the closest units to an incident and increasing officer safety at the same time.
Tiburon is a provider of automated public safety and security solutions to meet the demanding and complex needs of law enforcement, fire and rescue and corrections agencies.
Back in August Tiburon formally unveiled its new IQResponse product suite – built from the ground up to be a fully integrated CAD/Mobile/Records offering. In so doing, Tiburon has now extended its 30-year history of leadership in the public safety software market by becoming the only company that has product offerings that are appropriate – in both functionality and price – for agencies of every size.
