GetApp.Com Secures $1.1 Million in Series A Funding from Nauta Capital

GetApp.com, a leading online store for cloud-based business applications, recently secured $1.1 million in funding from Nauta Capital.

Nauta Capital, a venture capital firm, is focused on investing in early stage technology companies based in Europe and the US. The company has reportedly utilized its recently launched $150M Nauta III fund for making the investment.

According to industry estimates, GetApp.com is the fastest growing online marketplace for web based business applications.  Created in 2010 to offer affordable cloud-based applications to SMBs, GetApp.com has been able to on-board over 1500 SaaS (News - Alert) vendors as well as increase its reach to over 60,000 businesses per month since its launch. The company offers cloud based software in the areas of customer relationship management (CRM), employee and client collaboration, marketing automation, customer support, project management, human resources, accounting and business intelligence.

With businesses increasingly adopting web-based applications to replace or complement existing software to reduce their costs, improve their productivity and ultimately grow their bottom line, the Software- as- a- Service (SaaS) marketplace has emerged as a lucrative, multi-billion dollar industry and the funding from Nauta will allow GetApp.com to further strengthen its position in the market.

Last month GetApp.com announced the launch of an easy-to-use Cloud Computing ROI Calculator. This free online service helps companies analyze which elements of their IT infrastructure and software applications cost less and perform better when moved to the cloud.
