PT Adds Next-Gen Telemarketer Guard Solution to its Xpress Suite
PT, a global supplier of advanced network communications, announced the addition of Xpress Telemarketer Guard (TMG) to its Xpress suite of next generation network solutions.
The Telemarketer Guard helps service providers minimize subscriber churn. It allows them to differentiate their services and then follow up with close attention to subscriber satisfaction.
The Xpress Telemarketer Guard solution allows service providers to enlist a valuable, network proven solution in their quest for subscriber retention. The solution has already been offered to a major carrier's North American network, company officials said.
The solution can automatically identify calls from frequent mass callers. It also can block the call, send the call to voice mail, or allow the call to proceed, depending on the subscriber's preference. The solution also allows subscribers to create a “reject list” to stop unwanted calls from telemarketers where as the “allow list” gives selected telemarketers access to the subscriber.
In this manner, Telemarketer Guard helps residential subscribers intercept and divert annoying telemarketing calls. It gives end users the superior control to that offered by the "Do Not Call Registry,” company officials said.
"PT recognizes that a service provider's competitive edge depends on top performance infrastructure and a suite of features that enable them to attract and retain a growing subscriber base," said John Grana, senior VP, Products and Technology, in a statement. "We are dedicated to enhancing our Xpress portfolio of SIP-based services, in order to furnish carriers a rich suite of powerful solutions to build a wide variety of revenue generating services."
Xpress Telemarketer Guard is one of the many apps in PT's Xpress application portfolio. Other solutions include Xpress SIP Application Server, Xpress SIP-based Service Creation Environment, Xpress Calling Card and Xpress Long Distance Cost Avoidance.
In July, the company PT announced the development of a new open-standards solution set, code named Monterey. Monterey is an enhanced application-ready system that combines compatibility with the latest MicroTCA (News - Alert).4 standard with extensions including increased backplane performance and higher available power budget, company officials said.
