To offer application performance and network monitoring solutions for enterprise customers, Heroix, developer of application performance and network monitoring software, today announced a free Community Edition of its award-winning Heroix Longitude software.
According to a press release, Longitude is a self-service application and networking performance monitoring solution that delivers immediate, comprehensive performance information and this software solves multiple monitoring challenges in companies of all sizes.
“We decided to offer a new version of Longitude to introduce companies to our software at no cost,” explained Dick Levin, VP of Development. “Our software has received accolades from customers for more than 25 years, but choosing any software is a daunting process. We wanted to help companies feel comfortable in selecting new software.”
Earlier, Heroix introduced a new version of Longitude with an intuitive Web 2.0 interface designed for business users and IT staff, and in September, added a Mobile UI to allow access over iPhone and Android (News - Alert) devices. Longitude is less than half the cost of other application and network monitoring products, and can be installed and configured in less than 10 minutes. Longitude monitors hundreds of vital performance metrics, alerts on problems, takes corrective actions, and creates reports for everyone from executives to IT staff. The agentless software is fast, easy-to-use, and delivers immediate ROI because it was designed by monitoring experts.
Longitude users can also join the Longitude Community that provides instant online access to resources such as product downloads, video tutorials, documentation, support forums, and the knowledge book. Heroix offers three other editions of Longitude: Professional Edition, Cloud Edition monitors metrics for cloud based applications and Enterprise Edition
