At Sixth Annual Convio Client Summit, All Hands Volunteers Receive Honors

October 04, 2011

Convio, Inc. recently presented All Hands Volunteers with an Innovator Award in the Best CRM Visionary/Use of Common Ground category. All Hands Volunteers is a US-based volunteer-staffed nonprofit organization that is dedicated to timely disaster response and relief assistance. The award was presented to them for their segmentation efforts, creative communications, and innovative ways to capture prospect data. All award winners were recognized at Convio's Client Summit, which is the company's annual user conference where over 1,000 nonprofit clients, partners and industry thought leaders join together as a community to share enriching experiences and effective strategies for nonprofits.

In a release, Andrew Kerr, development manager at All Hands Volunteers, said, "We feel very proud of our win. Our financial growth and streamlined internal processes have been a testament to our success, but having another organization -- a third-party -- recognize the work that we have done gives us reassurance that we are on the right track. This award motivates us to keep pushing and to be innovative and creative in everything we do."

All Hands Volunteers was storing data on donors and volunteers in three separate places before implementing Common Ground.  Since there was no central database to house key data, All Hands Volunteers found it difficult to communicate with each individual in a personalized way, and these challenges got even more difficult due to the organization's growth. Through segmentation and personalization, Common Ground has helped All Hands Volunteers build, maintain, and add value to relationships with individuals, especially volunteers.

Six other nonprofits also received Innovator Awards in categories including Best Overall Use of Convio, Best Peer-to-Peer Campaign, Best Team Event, Best Integrated/Multichannel Campaign, Best Online Campaign and Best Use of New Media. All Convio clients were eligible to submit for the awards.

Gene Austin, chief executive officer and president of Convio, said, "The seven clients recognized this year epitomize innovation and are shining examples of true constituent engagement and how to maximize the value of every interaction they have with their supporters. As the shift continues from traditional forms of engagement to a combination of traditional, digital and social channels, these organizations are on the front lines responding daily to the changing needs of donors, advocates, volunteers and anyone helping to advance their mission. We are proud to recognize their achievements and honored to support them in their continued success."
