Infogroup Moves Its Data Center Operation to a Facility at Scott Technology Center, Omaha

Infogroup, a data, research and marketing company offering email marketing and other marketing services, announced its partnership with Scott Data Center located on the Scott Technology Center campus in Omaha. The company’s Omaha area data center operations were previously based in Carter Lake, IA.

The services migrated to Scott's best-in-class data center facility include both client-facing solutions and centralized back-office and financial accounting systems, Infogroup clarified in a press release.

The company expects to benefit from the high quality programs available on the Scott Technology Center campus. Based on an advanced infrastructure, the company expects to be better able to expand its product and service portfolio. An enhanced IT infrastructure will also provide the company with s a platform for the development of additional sales and marketing solutions.

“Infogroup has a long and productive history in Omaha, having been started here nearly 40 years ago. Omaha is attractive for its central location, favorable business climate and well-educated workforce. We are delighted to partner with another local Omaha company,” Infogroup's President and Chief Executive Officer Clare Hart explained in a statement.

Infogroup has a strong presence in Omaha. The company’s future plans involve further adding to its workforce, which already comprises of 1100 employees. In a press released, Infogroup revealed that the company is in the process of bringing the entire staff in a single location in the company's revitalized technology and data center in Papillion.

“We want to develop business opportunities in industries positioned for growth in Nebraska, including technology-focused companies. Infogroup has an important presence in our business community, and their decision to expand job growth in Omaha is good news,” Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman said in connection with the move.

Earlier Inforgroup announced it has commissioned CoSentry (News - Alert) to host critical applications and essential IT systems related to its market-leading email marketing applications within CoSentry's highly resilient Tier IV data center in Omaha, NE.
