Prestigious College Selects TargetX CRM Solution for Improved Communication with Students And prospects
Renowned education technology company TargetX recently announced that The College of William & Mary, one of the nation's premiere colleges, has selected its customer relationship management (CRM) tool---the Student Recruitment Manager.
As part of an integrated communications strategy the institution is pursuing, it was looking for a cloud-based CRM system that would enable it to connect with prospective students in a more efficient and effective way. The college administration found the TargetX Student Recruitment Manager (SRM) just the right solution. This sophisticated CRM tool is expected serve as the foundation for the communication strategy laid out by the school.
The SRM solution has been developed specifically for college admissions, TargetX claimed in a press release. The tool has been designed to help colleges manage, integrate and automate the process of student recruitment from the first point of contact through enrollment.

- Alert), the worldwide leader in on-demand customer relationship management and a pioneer in cloud computing.
With the SRM, the institution expects to experience an enhanced ability to communicate with prospects. The tool will enable the institution to prolong the conversation to convince the prospects.
In addition, the SRM will allow the institution to keep track of all its communications. With the tool in place, the college authority will be sure that only most relevant communications are sent to the students.
“We'll be able to build stronger connections between prospective students and the college, Senior Associate Dean of Admission at the Virginia institution Tim Wolfe, acknowledged in a statement.
SRM comes complete with built-in electronic communication tools, including the leading email broadcasting and online chat tools in higher education marketing.
According to the press release, W&M, found the fully integrated powerful event manager feature especially attractive.
SRM also allows the administrators to access the SRM system anytime and from anywhere, which was another factor that drew W&M to TargetX.
It will be worthwhile to mention here that the college has been using the eXpress email broadcasting tool from TargetX for the past 10 years. “We knew from the experience we've had with TargetX that the quality of the technology and customer support would be just what we needed," Tim Wolfe further added.
In July, TargetX announced an overhaul for its eXpressEmail broadcasting tool. First introduced in 1998, eXpressEmail has enabled hundreds of colleges to use targeted and personalized email communication to build relationships with prospects and their families.
