AppNeta Upgrades PathView Cloud with Enhanced Performance Assessment Capabilities
AppNeta, a provider of instant-value network performance management, announced enhancements to PathView Cloud with the addition of network and application assessment features.
The enhanced PathView Cloud capabilities give network engineers and managed service providers the ability to generate and analyze actual Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) traffic on a production network without using software agents or application infrastructure, company officials said.
AppNeta recently announced the launch of PathView Private Cloud Network Performance Management solutions.
PathView Cloud solutions fulfill the performance demands of today's distributed network infrastructure and mainstream network-dependent applications such as VoIP, video conferencing, virtualization and cloud services. The cloud-based service requires zero administration, so businesses can free their IT for core activities.
In addition to network assessment features, the integrated PathView Cloud suite of performance management services offer active bandwidth monitoring, active application performance monitoring, remote net flow analysis and remote packet capture for Wireshark analysis, company officials said.
"We have thousands of customers deploying VoIP and other performance sensitive applications that their businesses depend on," said Jim Melvin, CEO of AppNeta, in a statement. "PathView Cloud's enhanced features provide insight into the network prior to a VoIP deployment, and lightweight, continuous monitoring after the roll-out to keep the applications working."
With the advanced Assessment Capabilities, PathView delivers continuous network and application assessment against customizable SLAs based on the application. When a specific SLA is violated, PathView will automatically run a diagnostic test. PathView Cloud network assessments can also be scheduled to run automatically without user interaction.
