Cellit Suggests Best Practices for Salon and Spa Owners

September 13, 2011

Helping companies create successful mobile marketing campaigns, Cellit has announced the top tips for its customers. The company develops mobile customer relationship management (CRM) programs for retailers, restaurants and other companies.

Offering customers the opportunity to join a mobile loyalty club must be a win for both the salon/spa and the customer, Cellit suggests creating excitement and exclusivity through a mobile loyalty club. The company also suggests creating a sense of excitement and exclusivity by promising special rewards and offers for mobile club members only. Ensuring high retention rates and encouraging redemption, this approach will help drive initial sign-ups, the company stated in a press release.

“Mobile marketing for salons and spas is a cost-effective way to build repeat business by keeping customers informed on the latest offers and any new services," said David Wachs, president of Cellit in a company press release. "Cellit customers have been able to quickly build successful mobile loyalty programs that have increased customer spend per visit," he added.

Straight discounts on services are not necessarily achieved by mobile coupons, the company states. Compelling offers can include cross-selling with paired purchases such as a discount on a product when purchasing a service, or up-selling through offering service packages. Customer retention is equally or more important than bringing in new customers for many salons and spas. With existing customers, mobile loyalty programs are a great way to stay top of mind.

Recently, the company successfully completed the acquisition of the assets of MESSAGEbuzz, a St. Louis-based mobile marketing firm. MESSAGEbuzz, as a mobile marketing solutions provider, has provided organizations with content delivery to customer mobile devices, including mobile advertising, premium SMS, mobile sweepstakes, TXT2Screen, Txt N' Win and wireless consulting. A wide range of companies including Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Weber, Seagate (News - Alert), Steve Madden and more, with the help of MESSAGEbuzz has received mobile strategy.
