Glance Networks Launches v 2.0 of Glance for Salesforce its Screen-Sharing Technology
Glance Networks announced the launch of version 2.0 of Glance for Salesforce, its screen-sharing technology.
A provider of instant screen-sharing technology that is integrated with customer-facing applications, Glance Networks helps companies improve sales and service interactions. The company enables sales and support reps to launch on-the-fly screen-sharing sessions from within the customer applications they are currently using like Salesforce.com and LivePerson (News

In a release, Tom Scontras, VP Sales and Marketing at Glance Networks said, “Salesforce.com (News
- Alert) customers are looking for means to make their sales and services organizations more efficient and effective.”
“It’s simple; our customers want tools that improve real-time communications with prospects and customers. Glance for Salesforce 2.0 completes that picture by consolidating demo, presentation and remote support tools into one simple, integrated service,” Scontras pointed out.
According to company sources, this new upgrade will extend the company’s sales cloud offering to the service cloud. Using this facility, agents can launch collaborative support sessions by just clicking on a Glance icon appearing on any salesforce.com object.
Similar to the earlier release, the service automatically tracks and stores all support activity thereby enabling real-time, accurate reporting. In the new version sales and services dashboards have been added with six customizable reports each.
Glance’s version 2.0 augments real time engagement by incorporating a “mobile join” feature. This allows guests to connect to sessions via any mobile device such as the iPad, iPhone (News - Alert), BlackBerry or Android-powered phones.
Glance for Chatter is another new feature incorporated as a built-in service that automatically updates the status of demos, online presentations or remote support sessions. The Chat notification serves as a link to the session in progress and it allows users to click and join instantly.
A June 2011 TMCnet report announced the launch of Glance for Chatter. Glance for Chatter is a new add-on to Glance for Salesforce solution that alerts Salesforce users whenever impromptu, collaborative selling and support sessions happen with people, prospects or customers they are following.
