Smartsheet Online Project Management App Available On Salesforce.com's AppExchange
Smartsheet, an online project management tool, will now be available for trails and deployment on salesforce.com AppExchange, a popular destination for business apps. Designed to provide flexibility of a spreadsheet, the intuitive and flexible app enables clients to improve productivity and allows easy management of projects and processes related to accounts and contacts of Salesforce. Users have been provided with an integrated version of these cloud-based apps, which will optimize project and process collaborations.
Users interested in trials and deployment of the Smartsheet can do so on the AppExchange at http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange/.
To access Smartsheet, users simply have to go through a single sign-on step. Once through, they can easily collaborate with their colleagues, partners, vendors and other third party clients to manage projects. Smartsheet allows easy sharing of related files and documents and enables users to carry out discussions with the involved party on the projects. To help users keep track of project developments, the tool features an interactive Gantt chart. Additionally, users can also set up alerts to keep those involved in the project informed about any changes or developments.

Leveraging the flexibility and ease of use capability of the online project management tool, users can easily convert existing Excel sheets, Google (News
- Alert) Spreadsheets or Microsoft Project files into online projects.
Highlights of the Smartsheet online management tool include provisions for accessing projects from any location and from mobile devices and iPads and for including project documentation and providing comments on tasks and developments.
Users can also set automated reminders, notifications and updates on the project and can manage and keep track of timelines and deadlines via interactive Gantt charts. Additionally, the tool keeps a record of changes for different segments of the project, which can be viewed by the user, and provides a summary of reports for the projects.
