Deacom Commences Testing of its Latest SaaS Based CRM System Offering

Deacom, Inc, producer of the DEACOM ERP software system, has announced that it is carrying out tests on it’s newly developed SaaS (News - Alert)-based CRM system. The company is expecting to release the SaaS-based CRM system, which has been designed using .NET and Java technology, simultaneously with an iPhone application which has been developed leveraging Apple (News - Alert) iOS tools.

In a release, Jay Deakins, president of Deacom, Inc., said that “Our existing CRM functionality has been a standard module in our ERP system for a number of years. We have been slowly converting the back-end of our entire application to .NET (News - Alert) technology which will now allow us to roll out the front-end technology fairly rapidly.”

On successful completion of the tests and as a first for the company, Deacom will release its CRM application with the web-based front end using the .NET middleware. The web-based CRM system and the iPhone application can be used by present customers of the company with a SaaS model. Additionally, the company is planning on offering the new software independently to new customers interested in using CRM tools only.   

Deakins said that “This is our first entry into the SaaS market and our first web-based application. The rest of the DEACOM ERP system will be converted to the web-based model in 2012. We will be evaluating our SaaS results and determining how we might use SaaS for our ERP application. SaaS and the web-based technology are new frontiers for Deacom which are very exciting.”

Deacom is expecting completion of internal testing of the SaaS based CRM application by the fourth quarter of 2011. Following which, the application will be made available to customers.
