SugarCRM (News - Alert), claiming to be the world's fastest growing customer relationship management (CRM) company, posted strong and positive results for 2Q 2011, a precursor to its continued momentum in the CRM market.
Figures provided by the company seem to bear this out with billings increasing by 65 percent over 2Q 2010. Its customer base also increased by about 200 people. Larry Augustin, CEO, SugarCRM, stated that the velocity of growth in Europe and around the world was a testimony to the completeness of the product, its flexibility to adapt to unique local business conditions, and an indication of the momentum that Sugar has built in the market over the last year.
According to Tom Schuster, vice president and general manager of EMEA for SugarCRM, the growth went beyond mere revenue numbers for the number of sales channel partners had increased by 60 percent, a percentage of growth typically seen in new customers.
In the second quarter, Sugar gained 25 new partners, including ten in the EMEA Region, raising the total of partners worldwide to 288. This is significant considering SugarCRM's dependency on its partners to provide users with real competitive advantage tailored to their needs.
The company claims that resellers, sales directors and marketing heads have been unanimous in their praise for SugarCRM's ability to provide customized CRM solutions and cater to complex requirements. They recognized the knowledge and expertise of SugarCRM teams and touted the product as 'being a joy to use'.
