OpTier Accelerates its North American Expansion Plans
OpTier (News - Alert), a provider of Business Transaction Management solution, claimed that it is hurrying its plans to expand its presence in the North American market in order to cater to the growing demands for next-gen application performance management.
According to the OpTier, its Business Transaction Management solution (OpTier BTM) provides unique transaction based visibility into application performance and availability. OpTier's business transaction perspective can give IT and the business a complete view of end to end service performance from the end-user, through the data center, and into the cloud.
The company claimed that its BTM solution takes a new kind of approach to application performance management (APM (News - Alert)) that focuses on end-to-end business transactions. Traditionally APM solutions are designed and built as silo-oriented tools, and provide deep insight into individual components such as the Java application tier, the database, the message queue, the network or the end-user client. Due to various factors they do not run continuously in the production environment in full collection mode and choose to report a problem once they are detected. But OpTier BTM works around the clock and monitors all user transactions as they traverse the tiers in the infrastructure. When a problem occurs that affects the user experience or any part of transaction execution, BTM flags the problem tier.
OpTier claimed that the reason it is accelerating its expansion plans is that it is seeing customer demand growing faster than expected. OpTier's business is growing rapidly as customers prefer its transaction focused solution to assure the performance and availability of their dynamic, business-critical applications.
Officials with the company remarked that organizations are demanding visibility into the performance of every transaction, from end-users through all supporting infrastructure including clouds. The cost of downtime is too high and existing tools have not addressed poor application performance. Accelerating their growth plans will enable them to fulfill this customer demand for improved application, transaction and business service performance.
Some of the benefits of OpTier BTM are: it prevents outages by identifying capacity issues before they become problems; enhances MTTR with alerts when SLAs are threatened and root cause drill down; brings down latency by automatically calculating the "chattiness" of transactions and pinpointing scalability hotspots; and more.
