Yellowfin Recognized Amongst the World's Elite BI Vendors
According to the latest Dresner Advisory Services Wisdom of Crowds Business Intelligence Market Study, International Business Intelligence’s (BI) vendor, Yellowfin, has been recognized amongst the world's elite BI vendors, outperforming established players and Open Source (News - Alert) BI vendors. The study, released in mid-May, gave Yellowfin 4.23 on a scale of five. Yellowfin outscored big name players including Qliktech, SAS Institute, Microstrategy, Oracle, IBM Cognos, Microsoft and SAP (News
- Alert) Business Objects along with Open Source offerings Actuate (BIRT), Pentaho and Jaspersoft.
"This fantastic user-driven feedback validates our focus to keep making Business Intelligence easy," said Yellowfin CEO, Glen Rabie, in a statement. "Yellowfin was one of only three vendors that was recommended by 100 percent of survey participants. We couldn't have received a stronger endorsement for our people, product and services."
Companies were analyzed across 32 criteria including: sales experience, value, quality and usefulness of product, quality of technical support, quality and value of consulting services, and whether existing clients would recommend the vendor and its product to others.
Yellowfin received scores above both peer ('Emerging Business Intelligence Vendors') and overall averages for several key metrics, including Sales (Product knowledge, professionalism, contractual terms, after sales follow-up); Product (Online training, ease of administration, overall usability, ease of installation and third party integration) and Support (Continuity of personnel, time to resolve problems).
The result reaffirms Yellowfin's reputation as a rising global BI leader, and positions it as Australia's foremost BI solution. Recently, the company launched Yellowfin 5.2, ease-of-use reporting and analytics solution, offering organizations the ability to achieve superior Return on Investment (ROI). The release achieves this through new analytical visualizations that make data analysis easier and more insightful, an upgraded User Interface (UI) for improved navigation and independent reporting building, and improved scalability to allow organizations to easily grow the Yellowfin platform to meet their changing reporting needs.
