Viridity Software to Discuss How to Leverage DCIM Software

June 09, 2011

Viridity Software has invited the data center managers to join Mike Tresh, director of product management and marketing at Viridity Software, in a discussion on leveraging DCIM Software for Superior Data Center Change Management, the company has announced.

The topic on how to avoid this very real likelihood in today's dynamic enterprise data center will be presented by Mike Tresh. Apart from explaining how to determine an accurate baseline and threshold, he will also explain how to deploy automatic and accurate data center asset discovery, inventory and reporting.

He will also explain how data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software can be prepared for any unforeseen changes down the road to enable data center managers to restore control and deploy new servers and applications with confidence.

Viridity EnergyCenter data center infrastructure management software gives IT and facilities managers a deep understanding of their power consumption and equipment utilization to increase data center energy productivity and efficiency.

Data center experts Brian Olsen, Emerson Network Power (News - Alert), Liebert Services, Mike Tresh, and Viridity Software present a case study detailing how a large enterprise data center was able to improve power usage effectiveness (PUE), reliability and efficiency across the environment. Anyone interested can join in, the company stated in a press release.

With a comprehensive data center infrastructure management (DCIM) plan, brain meets brawn. One must constantly recondition the facilities management layer (power, cooling and space) according to the needs of the IT asset layer (applications, servers, network, etc.) in order to run a highly optimized data center.

Recently, the company announced the general availability of its EnergyCheck energy efficiency health check application designed for data centers. EnergyCheck is an application built to address the demands of customers who consistently face the challenges of not having a simple, non-intrusive way to understand power consumption and utilization, as well as how to tie IT investments back to the business, the company stated in a press release.
