JMP Securities Names Jaspersoft a Hot 100 Best Privately Held Software Company
Jaspersoft, a provider of business intelligence (BI) software, announced JMP Securities, an investment bank, included Jaspersoft in its Hot 100 Best Privately Held Software Companies list for the third consecutive year.
Completeness of Jaspersoft's Business Intelligence Suite, which comprises interactive reporting server, graphical and ad hoc reporting design interfaces, OLAP analysis, an ETL tool for data integration and a Java reporting library, was the basis of the recognition.Jaspersoft is revamping its suite with the release of Jaspersoft 4. The new version features a Web-based architecture. The upgraded release will have customizable graphic user interface (GUI) that makes embedding reports easier for BI builders.
Jaspersoft 4 also natively connects with Big Data systems such as Hadoop, NoSQL and MPP analytic databases. Company officials claim that Jaspersoft will be the first and only native reporting offering for any Big Data system.
“Jaspersoft is honored to be once again recognized for our open source BI solutions,” said Brian Gentile, CEO of Jaspersoft, in a statement. “We have invested extensively in the last year with a new UI architecture and native plug-ins for popular Big Data systems and it's great to know that others are acknowledging our robust BI solutions.”

Recently, Jaspersoft announced it surpassed a milestone of 100 cloud BI customer deployments, growing at close to 300 percent year over year. The company’s success bringing BI to customers in the cloud demonstrates the strength of its BI platform.
