KnowledgeTree Updates SaaS-Based Document Solution

Knowledge is power, and KnowledgeTree has updated its turnkey, cloud-based document process solution, formerly known as KnowledgeTreeLive. It has been designed to provide small-midsized businesses (SMBs) especially with enhanced document security, rapid deployment, access for mobile users and low cost of product ownership.
The key new features in KnowledgeTree's solution include:

Drag and drop workflow designer. This allows users to create document-centric business processes using an intuitive interface. Users can easily map process flows, assign and schedule actions, and create alerts and notifications. This automates document routing to reduce processing time and gain efficiency

Salesforce.com (News - Alert) integration. This feature enables users to see all customer-related documents from a single, centralized view and associate documents such as proposals, contracts, and email attachments with the customer record. They have a 360-degree view of customer interactions from within one system; there is no need to switch screens or go searching, which is especially cumbersome and annoying from smartphones, the iPad and kindred devices and netbooks
"Recognizing the need for tight integration between a document management solution and other applications that rely on document artifacts, such as customer relationship management, marketing automation and web content management, the Salesforce integration represents one of many third party product connectors to come," said Evan Person, director of product management, KnowledgeTree.
Folder hierarchy templates for industry customization. It allows users to build folder hierarchies for different projects or industry needs with the choice of several templates customized for different business areas. Users can set up folders, document types and document property fields with one click
Streamlined user experience including HTML5 features. These enhancements to the user interface supports more intuitive navigation such as document update feeds with comment threads. HTML5 drag and drop functionality enables users to drag and drop files directly into the KnowledgeTree web application
KnowledgeTree is offering a complete, fully functional 30-day trial for an unlimited number of users. Available for free, users can access the product's functionality including the ability to download and install client tools such as the Microsoft (News - Alert) Office Add-in and the cross-platform Explorer for Windows, Mac and Linux desktops. Some features are currently available in closed beta, with public availability during Q3 2010.
