'Social is the new way to do business,' said John McCracken, senior vice president of Worldwide Sales at Jive, in a release.
'CSC is one of the first professional services firms to become a true social business. Now, CSC is taking their expertise with Jive Social Business Software to their clients. It's a move that will result in a competitive advantage for CSC's clients, which include some of the largest commercial and government agencies in the world,' McCracken added.
John Glowacki, corporate vice president and chief technology officer at CSC said that his company is committed to enabling the same knowledge sharing, collaboration and productivity gains for its clients as done internally.
CSC official also clarified that the company will initially develop a mobile social business application for RIM's BlackBerry (News - Alert) smartphones.
As a Jive partner, CSC has been working towards a Social Business Practice which includes incorporating social business practices into its Forum. The Forum is said to bring together a global network of thought leaders, CSC experts, clients and partners to collaborate on leveraging the latest business and technology trends.
Also the company's C3 (News - Alert) - Connect, Communicate and Collaborate, a Jive-powered community has been recognized for the involvement of CSC executives and adoption of best practices.
Earlier, the company had also announced the availability of CloudExchange, a new cloud solution for email and collaboration that features Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange 2010 as-a-service, and includes planning, migration, provisioning and ongoing service-level management.
