Cashier Live Offers Point Of Sale Software To Help Independent Retailers Rebound From Recession
February 17, 2010
Cashier Live, a provider of low cost alternative solutions to traditional Point of Sale software, has announced a Web-based point of sale software that gives the small businesses the tools they need to rebound from the economic downturn.
The solution changes the model of traditional point of sale software and provides these tools at a low cost, enabling retailers to cut down expenses while increasing sales and simplifying accounting tasks.
According to a Michigan-based consulting firm, only $27 leaves the local community in the form of imports for every $100 spent in a local shop, while the figure rises to $57 when buying from a national chain store, as local businesses tend to use employ local service providers such as accountants and lawyers, and re-circulate wealth within the local economy. But in the recession, most of the locally owned stores shut down their business because of the poor economy, and the new solution aims at helping independent retailers to stand against the economic storm by providing tools that help them decrease costs and increase sales.
Often independent retailers face harsh economic realities while deploying state of the art technology in operating their store, as it’s hard for them to justify an upfront expense of over five-thousand dollars, which is the normal price for a computerized point of sale system. Cashier Live offers retailers a relatively cheaper solution by providing a low-cost point of sale that is subscription based, so costs are spread out over time.
According to Thomas Greenhaw, co-founder of Cashier Live, now small local business can take advantage of the same technology, and get the same benefits, for a fraction of the cost.
The solution also offers a number of other advantages over traditional point of sale software as well, such as its Web-based delivery model that allows for instant implementation instead of the long route from the developer to a reseller, who further coordinates setup, installation and training. Instead, retailers can sign up for their copy of Cashier Live on their Web site, and begin managing inventory and conducting transactions within a few moments.
