Open Solutions, Plansmith Announce Reseller Agreement Expansion
December 14, 2009
Open Solutions and Plansmith have reportedly the expansion of the companies’ reseller agreement. Open Solutions sells integrated enabling technologies for financial services providers worldwide, and Plansmith sells software for profit planning, budgeting and interest rate risk management.
The new agreement gives the vendor the ability to resell BankersGPS, Plansmith’s online planning tool for bank executives. The product integrates forecasting, peer analysis, strategy, and rate risk management in one application requiring 'no manual data entry, software installation or technical training,' company officials said.
This projection system offers users access to a 12-quarter forecast for their bank compared to anticipated results of rivals and peers. The tool can also provide 'what-if?' capabilities, and incorporates an interest rate risk measurement module that can prepare a comprehensive rate risk narrative report to help manage rate risk and meet regulatory compliance.

Eric Anderson, vice president of strategic alliances for Open Solutions, said adding BankersGPS is a good fit because 'both companies share a similar philosophy of providing cutting-edge technology as well as client support.”
A year ago, Osoyoos Credit Union officials selected The Complete Credit Union Solution: DNA, the latest version of the relational core data processing platform from Open Solutions, a vendor of technologies for financial institutions in the United States, Canada and other international markets.
Serving the community of Osoyoos, British Columbia, credit union’s officers said they have a “commitment to its members.” With a swell of summer residents in the resort town who require away-from-home banking services, and that seasonal swing factored in the decision to choose TCCUS: DNA and Open Solutions, according to General Manager D.W. “Bill” Collins.
'Our basic goal is to provide the same or better service to our members that they would receive if they were anywhere else,” he said. “The town is mostly a retirement community. New residents to the community are sophisticated consumers who expect the same service here that they would get in Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton.”
There’s your municipal marketing tag (News - Alert) line – “Osoyoos: All The Sophistication of Edmonton Without The Wind.”
