Quest, C7 Data Centers Ink Multi-Year Agreement
May 12, 2009
Quest and C7 Data Centers (C7) have announced the signing of a multi-year agreement to pool their mutual facilities and services to provide enhanced colocation and business continuance solutions.
Quest is a nationwide business technology management firm offering a full spectrum of data center products and services, while C7 is a provider of data center solutions in the Intermountain West.
“Quest has a long history of successfully partnering with vendors and industry partners alike and working with C7 makes perfect sense as it enhances the choices of data centers available to its customers with a strong, stable and well-managed data center infrastructure,” said Tim Burke, CEO at Quest.
C7’s four data centers and Quest’s two data centers and also facilities in AZ, NV, ID and HI provide customers the ability to secure and access their data at geographical disparate locations.
Officials say the disaster recovery customers of both the companies will be able to quickly recover from natural disasters and IT emergencies.
It’s noted that a complete disaster recovery solution requires more than just simple data backup and recovery. Quest and C7 customers needing disaster recovery and colocation services are expected to benefit from the data replication, redundant networks, power, and cooling systems at both partners’ data centers.
Nathan Hatch, president and CEO at C7, said that providing colocation and disaster recovery options to customers is important to C7’s growth. He added that Quest’s management group has a proven record of success and company is confident their facilities and services meet the standards required by C7 and its customers.
Earlier this month, C7 announced that EarthSoft, a developer of the most widely used environmental data management system in the world, has selected C7 for their Western U.S. hosting, storage and connectivity needs.
