Insurance Canada.ca Technology Awards Honor FINEOS and MPI
The Insurance Canada.ca Technology Awards, also known as ICTA, has honored FINEOS Corporation. The ICTA for P&C Insurer – Claims was won by Manitoba Public Insurance or MPI, a customer of FINEOS. An Honorable Mention in the P&C Technology Provider; and Claims was also received by FINEOS. FINEOS Corporation is a top market provider of claims management software solutions for Insurance and Government Insurance.
In a release, Doug Grant, principal with Insurance-Canada.ca said, “We are pleased to name MPI and FINEOS in the P&C Claims category. MPI is a great example of how an insurer can use technology - in this case from FINEOS - in the claims arena to provide leading edge tools for its people as they endeavor to provide the best service and solutions for their customers.”
Grant added that the delivery point for the insurance product is claims. Manitoba's people are better served by MPI people at a time when they need help.
Integrated claim case management functions and automated business processes are provided by MPI which uses FINEOS Claims. More than 400 MPI users over 17 sites across Manitoba use FINEOS Claims.
In a release, Rob Haithwaite, director for injury claims management at MPI said, "I’m delighted for the team at MPI who worked so hard to bring this project to life. We believe we now have the one of the best Personal Injury claims systems in Canada and that our FINEOS solution is helping us achieve operational excellence while providing value and enhanced customer service for all Manitobans.”
On behalf of the company, Michael Kelly (News - Alert), CEO of FINEOS Corporation congratulated MPI on achieving this accolade. According to Kelly, the company sees this as a testament to the functional breadth of the FINEOS Claims solution.
In related news from January, FINEOS Corporation announced that its customer, the Transport Accident Commission (TAC), Victoria, Australia, has been named as a 'Model Carrier' by industry analyst, Celent, in the claims category of this year's Model Carrier Report for Asia. The Report identifies a number of key practices in the use of technology across the product and policyholder lifecycle that a "Model Carrier" might use, and illustrates this with selected case studies of specific initiatives and capabilities. TAC's solution is powered by FINEOS Claims, a customer-centric, web-based universal claims software solution.
