TNS Debuts Improved Payment Gateway Service

February 28, 2011

TNS has announced that the company has launched improved Gateway services in UK and Ireland. This payment Gateway is pre-accredited by leading UK and Irish acquirers as well as PCI (News - Alert) DSS certified, the company has announced.

This validation confirms the application complies with the strict requirements of PA DSS; a software specific validation that sits within the PCI DSS compliancy framework, the company has stated.

At a time when this form of payment is poised to expand rapidly in the UK and Ireland, TNSPay now also supports contactless transactions at the point-of-sale. By “tapping” their cards against readers, the users can now make payments for companies such as Co-Operative Food. Offering secure and reliable payment processing, TNSPay is also now offering UK and Irish merchants the powerful capabilities of its Card-Not-Present (CNP) solution.

“We chose to include the name of the company, TNS (News - Alert), in the service’s new name to emphasize some core strengths of the solution, such as its security and high level of availability – qualities that have become synonymous with the name TNS in the payments marketplace,” stated Fintan Byrne, TNS’ Vice President and General Manager for UK and Ireland. “TNSPay’s versatility demonstrates our ability as an organization to support all the routes to market.”

Since entering the card transaction processing market over 20 years ago, this solution is part of a comprehensive range of payment services TNS has developed. With operations outside of the UK, and broadband payment solutions for use in store operations, these services include payment card settlement, international payment connectivity services for businesses, the company has stated.

In July 2010, the company offered low-latency connectivity through Equinix's (News - Alert) International Business Exchange data centers in Singapore. This announcement follows TNS deployments in Chicago, New York, London and Frankfurt, enhancing TNS' position as a key connectivity provider for the global Equinix trading community. TNS's network at Equinix data centers helps to connect a global financial community of interest, the company stated.
