The partnership will enable Vodafone Qatar to bring in triple-play services to Pearl Qatar with a comprehensive billing and customer care solution for fixed voice, video and data over high-speed broadband in Qatar.
The Vodafone Qatar Q.S.C., launched in 2008 has already become a major part of the leading international mobile communications group, the Vodafone Group and has received the second public mobile networks and services license in the State of Qatar. The strategic partnership with Alepo, a leading provider of control plane and business management solutions for next generation services, will enable Vodafone Qatar to bring in its triple-play services over IP, including fixed voice and data, to the manmade luxury island of The Pearl Qatar.
In a release, Jenny Howe, director of technology at Vodafone Qatar said that, “In selecting a back office solution to support multi-play services, Alepo emerged as an obvious frontrunner, offering a robust product as well as the expertise required to fulfil our business needs.”
Vodafone Qatar will be deploying the Alepo Service Enabler, a comprehensive billing and customer care solution for next generation networks, in order to achieve a centralized location to provision and manage all subscribers and services. The solution includes a real-time rating and charging system, which will allow the service provider to design flexible business plans from an intuitive, point-and-click interface while ensuring zero leakage of revenue. Also, Alepo will be providing a web-based subscriber portal for online customer self-care, which will include purchasing services, paying invoices and topping up accounts as well as providing integration with other network elements and external payment gateways.
John Kim, vice president of business development at Alepo added that, “Vodafone shows unparalleled commitment to becoming Qatar’s premier service provider, not only in terms of revenue, but also in the eyes of its customers. We are excited to work with Vodafone and assist the organization in realizing its mission by providing a tenacious billing and customer care solution.”
